Trip to Cihu Memorial Sculpture Park Daxi Taoyuan 【慈湖紀念雕塑公園桃園大溪】

Image
Cihu (慈湖)    is a  lakeside property near Daxi (大溪) in Taoyuan county that was  dedicated to Generalissimo and former President of the Republic of China - Chiang Kai Shek (蔣介石). The Cihu Memorial Sculpture Park is situated near the Cihu Parking Lot. In the park there are some 100 bronze statues of Chiang Kai-shek’s donated by various localities of Taiwan. This also lets tourists from around the world remember the past glorious feats of Chiang Kai-shek. Among the statues are familiar-looking standing and half-bust bronze statues, which were donated mostly by schools and government organizations. There are also statues of CKS seated and horse-riding. Every statue has its own artistic value. Interconnected foot trails lead to various statues in the park. There are also elegant Chinese garden-style gardens with bridges and water below them. The Daxi river valley area was always an area that the Chiang family was fond of, and both Chiang Kai Shek and his son Chiang Ching-Kuo (蔣經

Jiufen Old Street (九份老街) You Need to Visit This Amazing Place in Taiwan!

Image
Jiufen is a mountain town in northeastern Taiwan, east of Taipei, it is close to Keelung (基隆).  It's known for the narrow alleyways of its old town, packed with teahouses, street-food shacks and souvenir shops.  Jiufen is a steep uphill climb filled with interesting snacks, eateries, and accessories. Although climbing up and going down the stairs would make anyone feel wobbly, the energy is simply infectious! Sadly, it was too overly crowded with tourist to be enjoyable the time we got there. It was difficult to look through shops and check out kiosks as the person behind you is rushing (and pushing) to move towards his destination. So don't come here during weekends or holidays. We ate Taiwanese meat ball soup (gong wan) - 貢丸湯. Then we went to have Ai-Yu 愛玉 (jelly drink with lemon/passion fruit).  We also enjoyed eating the ice cream sprinkled with shaved caramelized peanut brittle and wrapped with Taiwanese crepe. After eating, we went to a teahouse that offe

Taipei 101

Image
Starting in the late 1990s, the government of Taipei began looking into how they could turn global attention to their city, the capital of the small island of Taiwan. Erected in 2004, Taipei 101 is 1,667 feet  (508 meters) tall. It’s more than twice the height of any other building in the city. Building such a tall structure is never simple, but doing so in a place like Taipei means accounting for earthquakes and typhoons. The developers would have to  engineer the building to withstand extreme environmental conditions, and at the same time, convince tenants and visitors it was safe and comfortable to inhabit. Taipei 101 become a landmark supertall skyscraper in Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan. It is the tallest building in the world! Spanning 101 stories above the ground at 508 metres, the building was designed as a symbol of technology's evolution fused with Asian tradition. Taipei 101 lost the title of World’s Tallest Building to the  Burj Khalifa in Dubai in 20

Because of curiousity, we came to this cat theme restaurant. The aura is good, clean, staff are good and the most important the cats are clean and addorable. The menu are waffles, spaghettis, and sandwiches. Since it is afternoon when we got there, we  order choco banana waffle, its a big serving you can share for two, and a cup of vienna iced coffee. I like the coffee and ofcourse the waffle, it is light not too sweet. For those who wants their waffle to be sweeter maybe you can add some syrup.  The price is affordable. Our bill is 210NT.  This restaurant is very near RT Mart Zhongli branch. Oh by the way its time to go, you can only  stay here at maximum of 2 hours. See you again cutie cats bye
